Sesame seeds

Introduction

We first experimented with sesame seeds in 2020. In 2021 we planted our first crop for production. Not without details to fine-tune, the first sesame seed crop was a success both growing-wise and market-wise. Chefs are raving.

Culture

Sesame is a drought-tolerant, heat-loving plant. As growers, it fills our need for a summer crop to follow the cool season grains, and is a pollinator plant to boot. The lovely, white zoophilic flowers attract bees especially. Upon pollination, four rows of neatly and vertically stacked sesame seeds develop.

Availability

Sesame seeds are currently our of stock. We are looking forward to a successful 2023 crop.
